Sinigang na Bangus at Bagoong


My husband's favorite. Sinigang na bangus with Bagoong sawsawan. 

Here are the ingredients:

1 large Bangus (Milkfish), Kangkong, Sampaloc (Tamarind), 3 Tomatoes, Tomato, Fish Sauce, Salt

Bagoong Sawsawan:

Bagoong, Catsup, Sugar, Garlic

Procedure: 

For the Sinigang na Bangus:

1. Boil Sampaloc, Tomatoes and Onion into 3 cups of water. 
2. Add in the milkfish which is cut into four pieces.
3. Let is boil for 5 - 8 minutes.
4. Add salt and fish sauce to taste
5. Finally, add the kankong leaves.

For the Sawsawang Bagoong:

1. Heat pan.
2. Add a little oil
3. Put the onion
4. Then the Bagoong
5. Add a little sugar, salt and catsup
6. Simmer until the mixture dries a little (This is to remove the fishy smell)
